Where has summer gone?

Ashlyn is just absolutely adorable... especially, when she is in her swim suit. Only when your 1 can you pull this number off and get compliments.
When have not been able to spend that much time at the pool this year because the weather has been crazy. We are attempting to squeeze everyday left into some fun in the sun, Oh...I mean clouds. Ashlyn... she lives to eat, (mostly just junk food), but that is okay.
The girls before our trip to the pool.

Sorry, the pics are out of order...blogger loads them all over the place. The girls together...aren't they cute?
Sophia with the Hatcher boys. They are all just little cuties! Notice how Drew and Nick cannot let go of their boogie boards long enough to take a pic...the kids are so funny, I think Laura and I spend our whole time at the pool putting out little fires.

Ashlyn's Birthday cont...

Ashlyn and Daddy...she is a daddy's girl.
We had a surprise visitor all the way from Collierville, TN...little Carter. He is so cute and compliments his parents so well. What a cutie! Here he is enjoying a little birthday cake. Thanks to Aunt Jill, Ashley and Derrick for coming to the party ...it was a nice surprise.
Ashlyn did not dig in at all...just one little piggie.
My beautiful Ashyn...I hope you had a wonderful birthday party. We love you so much and can't wait to see what this year has in store for us.

Happy First Birthday sweet pea!

Our sweet baby turned one this past weekend. Here she is attempting to walk on her own...she resist you if you try to hold both hands and walk with her.
This is our gift to her...she and Sophia both love it.
Ashlyn and grandma.
The family together...I have decided it is a ridiculous amount of work to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time...so here we are.
Ashlyn's Godmother Laura made her birthday cake. It turned out great...everyone thought it was adorable. Ashlyn did not want her birthday cake at all and we have no pics of her covered in cake...just one finger.

Eleven

She is soooo cute! Even when she acts out I have trouble getting mad at her....is that crazy?

Ashlyn...eleven months already! Whew, I remember your first few weeks and thinking... I can't wait till she's one! Now here we are and the day is almost upon us and I want you to stay just like this forever. Your so close to walking...you get closer and closer everyday. And soon I will be chasing you around the house. In the mean time, I will continue to enjoy crawling after you and listening to you giggle with excitement at the thought of being chased. We have had a very busy month and I am sorry this is such a short entry, but I love you and I can't wait for your big day!

Sophia's 4th birthday on the 4th!

Sophia had a wonderful birthday and she was so happy that day.

Here she is with her Barbie Jeep that we got her...she loves it! Happy birthday my sweet pea!

Sophia's 4th birthday on the 4th!

Sorry, the pics are out of order. Here is the princess blowing out her birthday candles. Because her birthday party was on the 4th of July I hunted everywhere for these sparkler candles... I found them and they were a huge flop.

Sophia with her Belle birthday cake!
I am trying to keep up the balloon tradition. I love seeing her face and her excitement.
A big thank you to Melanie for making her birthday cake! It was adorable and everything we wanted!

Holiday World cont...

The girls on the way home. Sooo cute!
Toby and Sophia rode the Raging Rapids ride about 4 times while Ashlyn and I sat on top wondering... where in the world are they?
She had such a good time...we were thankful she could ride most of the rides.
Daddy and Ashlyn taking a break!

Holiday World

Toby took off a Friday and we traveled to Holiday World. It was a lot of fun...for them (Toby and Sophia.) Ashlyn and I went from ride to ride hunting down any sort of shade we could find. This was the first ride they rode after lunch...apparently, it was not the best idea. Sophia was scared to death and Toby maybe a little sick.
I kept feeding Ashlyn to avoid any breakdown since she was sans nap this day.
Daddy and Sophia.
When I see pics like this...it was all worth it.
